Stephenson County Courthouse
15 N. Galena Ave.
2nd Floor
Freeport, IL 61032

The Stephenson County Circuit Clerk’s office has continued to help the SDU process support payments since its conception in 1999. The SDU is now prepared for this office to have all payments mailed directly to them in Carol Stream, Illinois. Accordingly, as of August 1, 2004, the Stephenson County Circuit Clerk’s Office no longer receives child support payments via the regular mail or dropped off. However, defendants will be responsible for the annual administrative fee ($36.00/year) charged by our office per state statute. Payments reports will be available through our office as we will continue to have the SDU computer and we would be happy to print out a report for you upon request.

All remitters should make support payments withheld under court or administrative order payable to THE STATE DISBURSEMENT UNIT and mail the same to:

State Disbursement Unit
P.O. Box 5400
