The Stephenson County Circuit Clerk’s Office is the official record-keeper of Stephenson County’s trial court. The Circuit Clerk’s office is responsible for the collection and distribution of fines, fees, and costs.
The Stephenson County Circuit Clerk’s Office consists of 14 full-time employees including the Circuit Clerk and the current annual budget is $651,333.00.
Pursuant to the Stephenson County Board Resolution 2010-10-04-1734 (Page 6, Paragraph 3): As agencies of the judiciary, the Circuit Clerk and Probation Department are exempted from the Illinois FOIA.
