It is the purpose of the Stephenson County Treasurer to conduct the duties of the office with professionalism, accountability and integrity. The County Treasurer promotes an atmosphere of cooperation with all county departments, the County Board and private businesses. The County Treasurer and her staff are dedicated to serving the public in a friendly and efficient manner. Through the use of traditional standards and new technology, it is the goal of the County Treasurer to conduct all the duties of the office in the best interests of the taxpayers by providing exceptional public service, while maintaining a conservative budget.
***YEAR-END TAX INFORMATION FOR INCOME TAX PREPARATION ***
The County Treasurer's office does not mail out year-end tax documentation. The information needed for income tax preparation as it relates to property taxes may be found on your tax bill. Both the amount paid and the parcel number are included on all bills.

When using the search tool, less information is best. For example, list the house number and the first few letters of the street name. Alternately, enter the last name and first initial. These search criteria yield better results. Tax information may be retrieved online dating back to the 2000 tax year for most parcels.
